VINCENT RALPH "JIM" ANTONACCIO

ANTONACCIO, VINCENT R. “JIM”, 92, of Barnold St., passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Alice (Grechoski) Antonaccio for 72 years. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Aquilino and Margaret (Peterarca) Antonaccio.

 

Vincent, a US Navy Veteran served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a Driver Salesman at Superior Bakery Inc., where he was known as the “Singing Baker” before retiring in 1987. Vincent was an avid golfer and belonged to the Valley Country Club. He was a life member of the VFW Post #449. He was a loyal NY Yankees fan.

 

He was the father of Robert V. Antonaccio of Coventry and Darlene J. Weiss and her husband Gordon of Summerville, SC; grandfather of four; great-grandfather of two. Vincent was the brother of John Antonaccio, Elizabeth Poccia and the late Silvio Antonaccio and Marie Grechoski.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington St., Coventry, RI.  Interment with military honors in St. Mary Cemetery. Visiting hours and flowers respectfully omitted, donations to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care RI, 1085 N. Main St., Providence, RI 02904 will be appreciated. Arrangements by IANNOTTI Funeral Home, Coventry.
