WALTER E. JACOBSEN

JACOBSEN, WALTER E., 92, formerly of West Warwick, passed away at Kent Hospital on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Annette T. (Giroux) Jacobsen. Born in Providence, Walter was a son of the late Ernest and Emma (Quilitzsch) Jacobsen. 

Walter was a veteran of the United States Army and Merchant Marines, proudly serving his country during World War II. He then worked for Garland Industries, Coventry where he retired as a machinist.

Walter is survived by his two sons, Glenn Walter Jacobsen, and his wife Cindy, of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Gordon Jacobsen, and his wife Linda, of Sarasota, FL. Grandfather of Matthew and Nicholas Jacobsen; Great-Grandfather of Karlee and Zander Jacobsen. 

Relatives and friends are invited to meet Friday, September 27, 2019 at 10:45 AM at the main entrance of RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter, where a funeral procession to the cemetery chapel will be formed. Committal Prayers and Military Honors to follow.
