KOZIOL, ADAM, age 88, of Crossland Road, West Warwick, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, at the Alpine Nursing Home, on Monday, March 3, 2025. He was the husband of Teresa (Kosciolek) Koziol. The couple celebrated 60 years of marriage this past December. Born in Biezdziadka, Poland, Adam was a son of the late Antoni and Katarzyna (Szczerba) Koziol.
Adam and Teresa, seeking a better life and more opportunity, immigrated to Rhode Island in 1971. Adam was in charge of maintenance and custodial duties at Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church and Parochial School from 1972 until fully retiring in 2009. Always a dedicated and hard worker, Adam was a baker in his home land of Poland. He brought these culinary skills with him, and he baked at the former Rainbow Bakery in Cranston for many years. He was also employed at the former Hoechst-Celanese in Coventry for several years.
Adam loved the outdoors, gardening, soccer, but mostly spending time with his family, especially his grandson William Koziol.
He was the father of Janusz Koziol and his wife Holly of Meredith, New Hampshire, the late Mariusz Koziol and his wife Lynn of Holland, Michigan, and Robert Koziol and his wife Edyta of Coventry. Adam was predeceased by five siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington St., Coventry, RI 02816. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery in West Warwick will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Our Lady of Czenstochowa would be appreciated.
