COVENTRY- Albert M. Bettencourt, 73, of Coventry, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the devoted husband to the love of his life, Deborah K. (Essig) Bettencourt.
Born on May 9, 1948, in Providence, he was the son of the late Edward and Arline M. (Pearson) Bettencourt.
A man with a strong work ethic, Albert was the owner and operator of A + D Taxi Cab Company. He was also a proud member of the Board of Directors for the Fire Department in Village of Anthony in the Town of Coventry.
In his spare time, Albert enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Above all, he treasured the time spent and memories made with his wife and dear family.
In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by his children: Albert Bettencourt, Jr., Wendy Shaheen (John), Charles Bettencourt, Allen Miner (Deborah), and George Miner; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; his brother, Edward Bettencourt; and also many friends.
Albert is predeceased by his sister, Katherine Cirillo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial visitation on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5-7 pm at Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rt.117), Coventry, RI. Burial will be held privately.
