NORMAN, ALBERT L., 76, of Coventry, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He was the beloved husband of 45 years to Barbara J. (Magee) Norman.


Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Albert and Irene (Rainville) Norman. 


Albert was a life-long resident of Coventry and attended Coventry High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He then worked for many years as a Self Employed Mason throughout the State of Rhode Island. He later worked for the North Kingstown School Department before his retirement.


He was a  lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox, and while he loved the New England Patriots, the Cleveland Browns was his favorite team. Albert enjoyed making his rounds throughout town checking in with friends everywhere he went. He will be truly missed. 


Albert was the loving father of Andy Norman of Exeter and the late James R. “Jamie” Norman. He was the brother of Patricia Latraverse of Big Timber, Montana. Albert is also survived by his cats “Ginger” and “Cinnamon”.


Visiting hours will be Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (RTE 3), Coventry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 62 Pleasant St., West Warwick. Burial with Full Military Funeral Honors will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry.
