Albert “Al” C. Jardin, 82, of Foster, passed away at home on Monday, October 30, 2023. He was the loving companion of twenty-seven years to Carole Salisbury.
Born in Taunton, MA on April 14, 1941, Al was the beloved son of the late Albert Jardin and Beatrice (Holden) McGrath.
Albert was raised and educated in Taunton. Many years ago, Al owned and operated a gas station in Conimicut Village, he also was a beekeeper at that time. For many years he owned Al’s Flags and marketed his goods at the Washington County Fair and other local fairs in RI, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut.
A disabled veteran, Albert honorably served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving from April 18, 1958 to April 4, 1961.
Albert enjoyed raising his goats and chickens at his family farm in Foster. Al, along with his loving companion, Carole, were members of the “Swinging Squares” and would square dance and ballroom dance three to four nights a week. But Albert’s most treasured time was spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his loving companion, Albert is survived by his beloved son: Christopher A. Jardin and his wife, Nicole C., of Warwick; a sister: Sandra DeCubellis of Putnam, CT and two cherished grandchildren: Christian (CJ) Jardin and Jessica Jardin, both at home in Warwick.
He was the loving father of the late Sandra M. Jardin.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 2 PM - 4 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road, Coventry. A Committal Service followed by Military Honors will be conducted on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 11 AM in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI. Family and friends are invited to assemble at the cemetery’s entrance near the Administration Building at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery by 10:45 AM on Monday.
