ALBERTINA CAGLE Obituary

Albertina "Bert" Cagle passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born November 2, 1933 to Antonio and Serafina (Mello) Enos in West Warwick, RI. She lived most of her life in Coventry, RI.

Family was most important to her and if anyone needed anything, she was always there to lend a hand. If you needed a volunteer for community activities she would be the first in line. She was a founding member of the Coventry Community Chorus and volunteered for the Coventry Senior Citizens Program for over 20 years. Any holidays, birthdays, or just getting together days were cause for celebration. She loved going to the gym. At 87, you would still find her at Sweatshop Fitness keeping pace with her younger counterparts. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards. She was always ready for a game of High Low Jack and whoever was her partner was always prepared for a 4 bid.

The Summertime was her favorite season. She would always stop at Allies Donuts on the way to Salty Brine and Scarborough Beach. We waited for the donuts. She loved sitting on the beach eating clam cakes and chowder while watching the Block Island Ferry sail in and out. You could also catch her boogie boarding with the best of them. We will cherish the memories.

She is survived by daughter Barbara Slobin (husband Neal) of CT, son Peter (wife Belen) of CT, and son Mark (wife Joanne) of FL. She was the proud grandmother of Ryan (wife Kurstin),Deanna (husband Jake) Brittany, and Christine. She was also the great grandmother (aka: Super G) of Alden Slobin. Also survived by her sister Shirley Champagne of Warwick. She was predeceased by her sisters Florence Bradley and Odelia Laugherty, and brothers Raymond and Tony Enos.

Albertina's family wishes to express special thanks to the staff at Yale New Haven Health/ Grimes Center, New Haven, CT for their exceptional care, compassion and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AnimalRescueRI.org as she loved all animals especially dogs and they loved her.
