Alfred “Al” Hebert Jr., age 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Old Lyme, CT on Saturday, September 7, 2024 with his beloved family by his side. Alfred was born on December 9, 1934 in West Warwick, RI., the son of the late Alfred Hebert Sr and Marie Hebert (Messier).

Always known for his intelligence and being well-versed. He was respected and appreciated by many; especially his children. One phrase that Al said through the years was “work is a privilege“. This was his mindset and often worked seven days a week. No matter the setting.
Al touched many lives with his warm charm and class.
For over the past 40 years, Al proudly worked for Bill Stevens as the National Director of Admissions for the Airline Academy in Ormond Beach, Florida. He built a very special friendship with Bill Stevens and his wife, Jill. It was a friendship that was near and dear to his heart.
Outside of work Al was an avid golfer, and a good one who won amateur tournaments, always a sport enthusiast and involved with the Rhode Island Reds hockey team serving as president of the Booster club. A devoted fan of the New York Yankees, he followed the team and always monitored them in standings, and watched all of their games.
Al survived by his wife of 59 years, Faith Hébert (Mako) of Niantic, Connecticut and his children; Renée Hébert-Villanova and wife Carol Villanova of Paxton, Mass, Sheree Hébert, and husband, Jim Terry of Coventry, RI and Michelle Frascarelli and husband, Rick Frascarelli, who Al was residing with in Old Lyme, CT.
He was the loving grandfather to Ashley Scherbinsky, Richard Frascarelli and Alexis Frascarelli. Al was the brother to Dolores Delmastro-Enright of Queen Creek, Arizona and Napoleon “Pete” Hebert of Londonderry, New Hampshire. Al was predeceased by his sister, Theresa Coutu.
