PARE, ALFRED F. “PETER” 87, of Marshall Circle, Coventry, passed peacefully at Kent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, March 20, 2021. He was the husband of the late Stasia F. (Wojcik) Pare for 62 years. For 17 of those years, Peter was Stasia’s primary caregiver. Born in Coventry, he was a son of the late George H. and Alexandra (Marcoullier) Pare. He was the father of Lynn McCarthy and her husband Joseph, Francine Pare-Iarossi, and Douglas J. Pare. He was the grandfather of Sean (Amanda) Mari, Michael P. Iarossi II, Craig M. Mari, Patrick D. (Devan) Iarossi, Megan L. Giroux, Jenna M. Quinn and the late Jacob M.P. Iarossi. He was the great-grandfather of Kaylin, Abby, Michael Paul III, Max, Chloe, Parker, Giuliana, Ryder, Lucy, Jenna, Ryan, Sage, Allison and Carina. He was the brother of Loretta Pimental, Phillip Pare, Rita Dixon, and the late Lionel, Gerard, Normand, Arthur, Edward Pare, Irene Lafond, and Jeannette Motta. He was the brother-in-law of Mary Petrarca. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Since the age of 14, Peter worked with his dad and brothers at the Family business, Pare’s Service Center, Inc. Until his passing, Peter operated the business with his son Doug. He enjoyed helping the community to keep their vehicles running well. By achieving this, Peter built a variety of relationships many of which became life-long friends.
Peter was a past Troop 1 Quidnick Scoutmaster from 1967 to 1980. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Club Frontenac and a past corporator at Centreville Bank. He was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church where he volunteered in many capacities including serving as Chairman of the annual parish picnic in 1974.
Peter enjoyed many vacations with his wife, family, and friends including many European destinations.

His Funeral will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 9:00 am from the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (Rte.3) Coventry, with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) in memory of his wife Stasia, would be appreciated. iannottifh.com.
