JOAQUIN, Alfred “Jeff”, 81, of Prospect Hill Ave., passed away at Kent Hospital on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. He was the husband of the late Gloria C. (Ruzzo) Joaquin.
Born in Taunton, MA, he was a son of the late Edwin and Mary (Lima) Pacheco.
Jeff founded Joaquin Construction in 1963. He tirelessly built the family business up until retirement. He loved spending time with his family and friends especially while enjoying many years camping in Jamestown and snowmobiling in Vermont. Jeff was an avid golfer and past member of West Warwick Country Club. He enjoyed Duckpin and 10-pin bowling for many years at Airway 32 Bowling Lanes. A man of many jokes and one liners, he loved to make people laugh.
He is survived by three sons and their wives, Jeffrey and Darlene, Jonathan and Lori and Jerome and Lauren, all of West Warwick. He was also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 siblings Hilda Rodolewicz and Walter Joaquin and predeceased by Helena Salema.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 10:00 am in SS. John & James Church, 20 Washington St., West Warwick. Visiting hours and flowers respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
