LeBLANC, ALINE M., 89, Formerly of South Kingstown, Rhode Island and Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, June 2, 2025 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. Aline was predeceased by her loving husband, Lester R. LeBlanc. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Albert Z. and Alexcina (Frechette) Fournier.
Aline was the loving mother of Anne F. Salisbury (Stephen) of West Greenwich and Paula J. Rekos (Russell) of South Kingstown and the late Robert L. “Bob” LeBlanc (Julie). She was the adoring grandmother of Bryan Salisbury, Justin Salisbury (and his wife Amanda), Elizabeth Hamilton(Salisbury) and her husband Greg, John, Alexandra, and Catherine Rekos, James and Jackson LeBlanc. She was a loving sibling to her 9 brothers and sisters and was blessed with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family members. She had a huge heart and there was always room at the table for one more.
Aline was born to a family that didn’t have much in material wealth, but they were rich in their faith in God and love of each other. She loved to make other people happy and was a natural caregiver. When she was 16 she was asked to quit school to support her family, greatly saddened to not get her diploma she made the sacrifice and went to work at Moore Fabric company. She never gave up the desire to graduate and made her family so proud when she attended night classes in 1976 and finally received that diploma. When her father became ill with lung cancer she added the role of caregiver for him until he passed in 1960. But, the role she absolutely loved best began in 1963 when she married Lester. She was an amazing homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Leaving behind a legacy of life skills such as how to blow kisses, hugging children that are not using good behavior, how to tap dance and make up silly songs to go with it, keen organization skills matter in life, dessert is the best part of the meal, and that all children (no matter how old or who they belonged to) were “so wonderful”.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (Route 3).
Aline’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 11:00 am in Saints John & Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry. Inurnment at St. Francis Cemetery, South Kingstown is respectfully private.
