ALLAN E. WOOD

WOOD, ALLAN E., 81, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 28. 2022. 

Born in Providence, he was the son of Wallace Sr. and Marion (Francis) Wood. 

Before his Honorable Discharge, Allan proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon entering civilian life, he learned the craft of carpet installation and was self employed for many years. Allan enjoyed many years playing golf and bowling.  He was a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Bruins. Above all, Allan will be remembered for his strength, work ethic and his love for his family and beloved dog Buster. 

Allan was the loving father of Tara Fontaine, and her husband Ronald E., of Coventry. Beloved grandfather of Zachary R. and Zoey M. Fontaine.   

Burial with Full Military Honors at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, is respectfully private.
