ANDREA MARIE (BRUNI) JOHNSTONE PsyD

JOHNSTONE PsyD, ANDREA M. (BRUNI), 44, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, January 25, 2026. She was the beloved wife of David A. Johnstone for 16 years, and the caring mother of Isabelle G. Johnstone and Micah D. Johnstone. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Ronnie A. and
Yvette D. (Tremblay) Bruni of Lincoln.

Andrea was an amazing wife, mother, and daughter. She had unwavering strength and unshakable faith and was a parishioner of Saints John & Paul Church.

Andrea graduated from Mount St. Charles Academy, class of 1999. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of the Holy Cross in 2003, a Master’s Degree from New York University in 2007, and a Doctorate in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Pace University in 2012. Andrea was a respected clinician and loyal worker, spending most of her career with Gershon Psychological Associates. She finished her career at the Center for Psychological Wellness, the last step in her continuous pursuit of helping children and families.

Andrea treasured quality time with her family. She loved to travel and found the planning of a trip to be therapeutic. No matter where Andrea was, she enjoyed being outdoors, preferably on the beach soaking up the sun and listening to the waves. She attained harmony in nature while hiking with her family. Andrea also really found comfort in the kitchen. Not only did she love to cook, but seeing others enjoy what she had made, put that familiar, beautiful smile on her face.

Visiting hours are Friday, January 30, 2026 from 4 - 7 pm. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 9:00 am from the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (I95/Exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saints John & Paul Church. iannottifh.com
