ANGELINA (PETRARCA) DIROCCO

DIROCCO, ANGELINA (PETRARCA) 90, of Coventry and formerly of Cranston, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Cranston. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Domenico V. DiRocco in 2018. Born in Fornelli, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Berardino and Rosa Petrarca.

Angelina was a dedicated wife and mother. Angelina and her husband, with four young children, immigrated to the United States of America in 1968. She provided for her family by working over 30 years at the Original Bradford Soap Works Inc. in West Warwick. Angelina persevered through many of life's challenges by having a strong Catholic faith and dedication to Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed caring and cooking for her family. She adored her daughters, son-in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the mother of Melinda Apollonio and her husband Domenic, Anna Vizzaccaro and her husband Gelsomino, Maria Williams and her husband Ronald, all of Coventry, and the late Elena DiRocco-Emery and Domenic “Mimmo” DiRocco. She was the grandmother of Vinny and Angelo Apollonio, Nina DiIorio and her husband Niko, Tony Vizzaccaro, and Ronnie Williams. Angelina is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Jackson, Giulia, Matteo and Emma. Angelina was the sister of Margherita Petrarca of Fornelli, Italy and the late Maria, Antonia, Virginia and Carmine Petrarca.

Visiting hours are Saturday morning, November 16, 2024 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington, St. (Rte.117) in Coventry, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in Sacred Heart Church. Interment at Saint Ann Cemetery in Cranston. iannottifh.com
