ANTHONY SILVA

SILVA, ANTHONY, 78, of Larch Drive, Coventry, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was the husband of Joyce M. (Lucier) Silva for 58 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Manuel Rego and Cecilia (Cardosa) Silva.

Anthony was employed as a machinist for General Dynamics Electric Boat in North Kingstown for 38 years before retiring in 2012. He previously was employed at the former Pawtuxet Valley Dye Company in Coventry. Anthony enjoyed nature, especially feeding his birds and squirrels.  He loved to listen to music and watch youtube, but mostly he loved to spend time with his family.

He was the father of Michelle M. Hartford and her husband Michael of Westerly, Manuel E. Silva of West Warwick, and the late Michael A. Silva. Anthony is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by twelve siblings including John, Arthur, David, Frank, Raymond Silva, Pearl Gagnon, and Tina Moniz.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday morning, January 28, 2023 from 8:45 am to 10:15 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Anthony Church. Following the funeral mass, Anthony’s family has invited all who attend to join them at The Cowesset Inn, 226 Cowesset Ave., West Warwick.  Please omit flowers. iannottifh.com
