ANTONIO BETTENCOURT Obituary

BETTENCOURT, ANTONIO A. “TONY” 93,  of Youngs Avenue, West Warwick, passed away at the Respiratory & Rehabilitation Center in Coventry on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Antonio G. and Anna L. (Lobao) Bettencourt. 

 

Tony was employed as a foreman at Stanley-Bostitch in East Greenwich for 28 years before retiring in 1988. He enjoyed traveling especially to the Azores, Florida, California and Hawaii. Tony was a dedicated parishioner of Saint Anthony Church in West Warwick.

 

Tony was the brother of Daniel Bettencourt Sr. and his wife Evelyn of Griswold, CT  and the late Edward J. Bettencourt. He was the uncle of Paul Bettencourt, Daniel Bettencourt Jr., and David Bettencourt; and the great uncle of Emily Bettencourt. Tony also leaves a godchild, Linda Lourenco and several cousins.

 

Visiting hours are Wednesday morning, May 25, 2022 from 8:00 am - 9:15 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Anthony Church. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery in West Warwick. iannottifh.com
