ARTHUR BIBEAULT Jr. Obituary

BIBEAULT, ARTHUR L. Jr., 82, A longtime resident of Rhode Island and Florida, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, November 7, 2025. Arthur was the beloved husband of Bette (Fraser) Bibeault. Bette was the love of Art’s life and the couple were inseparable for nearly 50 years. 

 

Born in West Warwick, RI, Arthur was a son of the late Arthur L. Sr. and Theresa M. (Mitchel) Bibeault. 

 

Spending his early years in Warwick, RI, Arthur graduated from Veterans Memorial High School before enlisting to serve his country in the United States Army. He went on to spend his career as a Machinist for the Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Company and enjoyed playing golf and taking camping trips with his family. 

 

Above all, Arthur loved being “Santa Claus”. With his piercing blue eyes, warm heart, and jolly disposition, Arthur was a natural born “Santa”. Known as “Santa Art” throughout the industry, Arthur fulfilled the role of Santa for 30 years, beginning at the Midland Mall, then the Warwick Mall, and most recently at the Emerald Square Mall. “Santa Art” would also make appearances at local schools and Boys and Girls Clubs throughout Rhode Island. 


 

Besides his wife Bette, Arthur is survived by his son Alan Silvia, his wife Kirstin, and his daughter Linda Hainse, and her husband Mark. He was the loving grandfather of Michael and his wife Brianna, Anneliese and her partner Caleb, Nikki, Gregory, Jennalyn, Justin and his fiancé Amelia; great grandfather of Grayson, Jaxon, Parker, Mason, and Lila. Arthur is survived by his sister, Barbara Meineke, and many dear nieces and nephews. 

 

Family and friends are invited to Arthur’s Memorial Service with Military Funeral Honors on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Those planning to attend can gather by the main entrance of the cemetery at 10:45 AM. Arrangements are by the Iannotti Funeral Home.
