ANDREWS, Barbara J. (Brown), 79, of Robin Hollow Rd., West Greenwich passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Alpine Nursing Home in Coventry. She was the beloved wife for 62 years to Kenneth Andrews Sr.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Josephine (DeSimone) Brown. Barbara was the owner/operator along with her husband of Kenny’s Bus Service before retiring. She was one of the original founders of the Exeter/West Greenwich Little League and was a 4-H volunteer for many years and chaired the fundraisers for the 4-H events. She was a former member of the West Greenwich Fire Department #1 Ladies Auxillary.
Besides her husband, she leaves her loving children, Carol Rathbun (Gilbert) of West Greenwich, Kenneth Andrews Jr. (Mary Lee) of South Carolina, Thomas Andrews (Beverly) of Hope Valley, Wendy Tavares (Anthony) of West Greenwich; her siblings, Esther Marlette, Hollis Brown, Dominic Brown, Lois Waldeck, Sandra Rathbun, Joann Quattrocchi, Deborah Moretti and Valerie Belleville; 15 grandchildren, Gilbert and Gregory Rathbun, Christopher and Matthew Wilcox, Kenneth and Michael Andrews, John Welch, Jamie and Crystal Dauphinais, Anthony and Benjamin Tavares, Allen Andrews Jr., Naomi, Shawna and Austen Andrews and 14 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Allen Andrews Sr. and Lori Ann Andrews Cobbett and sister of the late William Brown.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 5 – 7 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte. 3), Coventry. Social distancing and face masks are required. Funeral Service and Burial will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s name to the West Greenwich Fire/Rescue Station 2, 733 Victory Highway, West Greenwich 02817 or the SRI 4-H Fair, 239 Plain Rd., West Greenwich, RI 02817 would be appreciated.
