LOFFREDO, BARBARA A., (AUBIN) 81, of Woodmont Drive, Cranston, peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, June 9, 2025. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Ann (Pelli) Aubin.
Barbara graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, Class of 1962. During her employment years, she managed the office at the Acura of Newport Dealership, and previously at the former Majestic Honda Dealership, for over 30 years before retiring. During retirement she volunteered at multiple agencies assisting in the care of underprivileged children.
Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She had a radiant spirit and welcoming personality that would instantly light up a room. She had countless friends with whom she spent a lot of fun times with. During her younger years her Thursday nights were spent showing off her skills on a bowling league that she enjoyed with her fellow teammates. Her passion for dancing was evident any time she had the chance - especially line dancing and popular dances to "Oldies" music. If anyone wanted to find her during the summer months, she would be at the beach, in the same spot, every Sunday with her familiar Scarborough group of decades-old friends. Barbara also loved to cook many Italian favorites and was famous for her eggplant parmesan - which was always a requested dish at family functions. During Christmastime she loved baking Italian Christmas cookies with her mother every season and carefully preserved all of her special cookie recipes throughout the years.
Barbara was the mother of Lisa M. Reis and her companion James Marchetti of Warwick, Albert Loffredo III of Providence, and Jason A. Loffredo and his companion Patty Madonna of Cranston with whom she lived with since she took ill. They were her dedicated primary care-givers for the last four years of her life. She was the proud grandmother of Justin and Ashley Reis, Albert IV and Andrew Loffredo, and Madison and Kaylee Loffredo. Barbara was the loyal sister of the late Raymond Aubin and Janice Tucker. She was the sister of Richard Aubin, currently of Richmond RI, who she also considered her best friend. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Barbara was an animal lover. She was a big supporter of various SPCA agencies. She loved her cat Lily along with her two dogs, Teddy and her beloved Gracie who provided her comfort and joy every day.
Her funeral will be on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 8:30 am from the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (I95/Exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Committal Prayers to follow at Saint Ann Cemetery in Cranston. Visiting hours are Monday evening, June 16, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
