Bradford H. Pinney, 71, passed away in his sleep early Thursday morning on November 16, 2023 at the Kingston Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Richmond, Rhode Island.
Son of Richard H. Pinney, Jr. and Joyce (Spencer) Pinney, Bradford was raised in Stafford Springs, CT and graduated from Stafford Springs High School, Class of 1970. After a few semesters at Elon University studying Business and Music, Bradford began his career working for the Town of Stafford Springs. From there, he worked his way up the professional career ladder and became a Collections and Litigation Manager for large equipment corporations. This career path allowed him the opportunity to live in various states including Maine, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida and South Carolina. In each community he resided, Bradford became an active community member, whether being a Selectman for the Town of Poland, ME, or singing in the Bellevue Presbyterian Church Choir in Gap, PA. Bradford retired to Rhode Island to be with family and found his calling - as well as an extended family - as a Recovery Coach and House Manager with New Horizons Recovery House in Providence.
Besides spending time with his family and those on the path to recovery, Brad enjoyed listening to music (The Beach Boys were one of his favorite bands), watching football, NASCAR Racing and taking long drives. His favorite places were the beaches of Florida and Rhode Island.
Brad is survived by his children Kimberly Sullivan and husband, Robert Sullivan III, Heidi Pinney, Bradford Lacaillade and Heather Lacaillade and five grandchildren: Rebekah, Christian, Luke, Matthew and Phoebe.
