DESROSIERS, BRUCE A., 59, of Acacia Court, Coventry, passed away at the Hope Hospice in Providence, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, February 8, 2024. He was the husband of Melissa M. (Tamburrini) Desrosiers. They were happily married for 35 years. Bruce was the caring father of Abigail M. Desrosiers. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Roger O. and Mabel L. (Burger) Desrosiers, and a foster son of the late Gerard and Theresa (Greene) Perreault. He was the son-in-law of Vincent and Vivian (Volpe) Tamburrini of North Kingstown.
After graduating from West Warwick High School in 1982, Bruce went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Providence College and then a Master’s Degree from Bryant University. Bruce, a Certified Public Accountant, has been a partner at the PKF O’Connor Davies Accounting firm in Providence since 2020. In his spare time, Bruce enjoyed golf and was a member of the Valley Country Club, listening to music, and watching Patriots Football. Bruce had a quick wit, sometimes making a wise remark, and he loved to be with his family and friends. However, his greatest accomplishment was his daughter and being a published author.
He was predeceased by his siblings Rosemary Spencer, Ignazio Borsina, Ruth Ann Demarco, and Arlene Demarco, and survived by siblings Jo Borsina of VA., Linda Ouillette of NE., Joy Desrosiers of Somerset, MA, and O’Kay Desrosiers of Tiverton, RI; and his foster family siblings; Michael Perreault of West Warwick, Donna Chucka of Coventry, Theresa McMahon of FL., Dawn Brown of Warwick, Gereard Perreault Jr. of West Warwick, Justin Perreault of Johnston, Bruce Perreault of Warwick, Thomas Perreault of Coventry, Nicholas Perreault of Cranston, Victoria Perreault and Jordan Perreault, both in Florida, and the late Jackie Rego. Bruce is also survived by five Godchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be Friday, February 16, 2024, at 10 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd.,(95/exit 18/Rte.3) in Coventry, followed by interment in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery in North Kingstown. Visiting hours are Thursday evening, February 15, 2024 from 4 pm to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) would be appreciated. iannottifh.com
