BRUCE W. DOPART

DOPART, BRUCE W., 72, of Coventry and formerly of Newport, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Kent Hospital. Born and raised in Newport, RI, he was a son of the late Victor and Mary S. (Silveira) DoPart.

After graduating from William S. Rogers High School in 1970, Bruce went on to establish  Majestic Interiors. A successful business he operated for many years. Bruce was also an expert in antiques.

He was a skilled bowler. Bruce was a New England Bowling Champion. He was the first person on the “Island " to bowl a perfect game of 300. Bruce loved to fish and also spend time at Kings Park with his dog “Buddy.”

He was the father of Courtney DoPart (Tyree). Bruce was the grandfather of Alexzander, Zachory, Xzavier and Izaiah. Bruce is also survived by his siblings Victor DoPart, Arlene Lombardi, Valerie Barrows, Stephen DoPart, Mary Paiva and Rita Carbone.
