COLICCHIO, CARLO A., 94, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at his home while surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 19, 2026. He was the beloved husband of 70 years to the late Barbara A. (Harper) Colicchio.
Born in West Warwick, Carlo was a son of the late Carlo and Rosaria (DiFiore) Colicchio.
Carlo was a graduate of West Warwick High School, where he was known as “Click”, and was an accomplished athlete on the football field. After graduation, Carlo proudly enlisted to serve his country in the Rhode Island National Guard, and was quickly deployed to serve overseas as a Radio Operator on Okinawa Island during the Korean War. After his Honorable Discharge, Carlo returned home to Rhode Island where he and his true love, Barbara, married and raised their family. Always a hard worker, Carlo had many jobs throughout his life to support his growing family. He worked as a laceweaver, a painter, owned and operated an archery supply store, and was the boiler mechanic at Stanley Bostitch, North Kingstown, from where he retired in 2002. After his retirement, Barbara and Carlo wintered in Florida where they enjoyed their small community and the beaches and sunshine.
Always humble, kind, and compassionate, Carlo was a devout Christian who was charitable and selfless. He was a great neighbor and friend to many, who would always be willing to use his Handiman skills to help anyone who may have been in need. When he wasn't working, Carlo enjoyed taking family vacations, and took great pride in his home and yard, spending time tending to his garden. He also liked building scale models of WWII planes, and woodworking, oftentimes making special gifts for his grandchildren. No matter the situation, Carlo loved to joke around and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Carlo was the loving father of Stephen Colicchio, his wife Mary, of Warwick, David Colicchio, his wife Catherine, of Mobile, AL, Karen Colicchio, of Warwick, Rose Lasiuk, her husband John M., of Hudson, WI, and Carl Colicchio, his wife Susan, of West Warwick. Grandfather of 10; great grandfather of 15. He is also survived by his loving sister, Francis Padula, and in-laws, Mary Jones, Joan and Julio Maggiacomo, Ann and John Sheriff, and Tom Harper.
Carlo and Barbara will be reunited at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Funeral Services and Military Funeral Honors will be respectfully private.
