CARMELA LOMBARDI

LOMBARDI, CARMELA, 94, of Warwick, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Alpine Nursing Home, Coventry. 

She was predeceased in 2018 by her beloved husband of 68 years, John V. Lombardi.

Carmela worked as a Telephone switchboard Operator at the former New England Telephone Company. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, ice dancing and big band music and dining out at Rhode Island’s many restaurants.

Carmela is survived by her beloved children Jean Major and her husband Ray of West Warwick, Carol Anderson and her husband Elmer of North Kingstown, and Thomas Lombardi of Johnston; four grandchildren, Sgt. Stephen Major (WPD) of Coventry and Lisa Guerreiro and, Ryan Lombardi, of Florida and Nicholas Lombardi of New Mexico. She was the sister of Gloria Antrobus,  and, Robert Rozzi, and the late Frank, John and Marco Jr. Rozzi.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (ROUTE 117) Coventry. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Arrangements by Iannotti Funeral Home.
