CAROL E. (SMITH) SOCHA

SOCHA, CAROL, 86, a longtime resident of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026 at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in West Warwick. 

Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Carol was a daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Schenk) Smith.   

Always a woman of strong faith, Carol was a devoted and loving grandmother. She enjoyed taking walks and found solace being outside in nature, especially by the ocean. 

Carol was the loving mother of John A. Socha, his wife Sheila, and Susan E. Gorton, her husband Mark. Grandmother of Chasity Hogan, her husband Michael,  and John M. Socha, his wife Courtney; great grandmother of Lorelai Socha and Conrad Hogan. 

Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM with a Funeral Service at 10:30 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117). Burial with Committal Prayers will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry.
