CATHERINE A. "KAY" (FERRARO) CONSTANTINE

CONSTANTINE, CATHERINE A. “KAY” (FERRARO) 91, of East Greenwich, and formerly of Clearwater, Florida and Coventry, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the Respiratory & Rehabilitation Center of RI in Coventry. She was the wife of Leonard P. Constantine, who passed away in August, and the late Howard W. Burrowes. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela (Ruotolo) Ferraro. 

Kay graduated from Emmanuel High School in Brooklyn, class of 1948. She was a proud Brooklyn native, enjoying Italian cuisine, especially the New York pizza. But mostly,  she loved the New York Yankees. Kay enjoyed the warm sunshine, reading, and travelling to many places.

She was the mother of Kathleen T. Sapienza-Carnevale of Oklahoma, Theresa A. Balet of Montrose, Colorado, and the late Annette M. Kidd. She was the sister of Amelia P. “Amy” Rinaldi and her husband Vincent of East Greenwich, and the late Joseph Ferraro. Kay is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be on Tuesday morning, January 4, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., Coventry (Rte. 95, exit 6, Rte.3), with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Saints John & Paul Church. Interment with committal prayers for Catherine and military honors for Leonard will be at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. iannottifh.com
