CATHERINE W. FAGUE

FAGUE, CATHERINE W., 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the Respiratory & Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island, Coventry. She was the loving wife of 63 years to James A. Fague, who predeceased her in September 2023.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Agnes (Randall) Bergin. 

After growing up in Warwick, she met the love of her life, James A. Fague, who was serving his country in the United States Navy. Catherine was a devoted Navy wife, raising her family across the country, finally settling in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Above all, Catherine will be remembered for being a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother and great grandmother.    

Catherine was the loving mother of James A. Fague Jr. of Coventry, RI, and Debbie Clune of Warwick, RI. She was the grandmother of Monica L. Fague and Jacqueline Clune, and James P. Fague; great grandmother to Gisele and Sebastian Semper, and Harper Barcelos. She was the sister of Kenneth Bergin, his wife Maria, of Pawtucket, and the late Bernard Bergin, his wife Judy, of Virginia. Catherine is also survived by her dear nieces and nephews, Crystal Resendes, Michelle Carreira, Marc Bergin, Nina Barrios, Joseph Bergin, Paul Bergin, and Tina Taylor. 

Funeral services and interment with her husband James at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI, are respectfully private.
