CECELIA V. (AMARAL) LEANDRO

LEANDRO, CECELIA V. (AMARAL) 93, of Main Street, Coventry, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at the Riverview Healthcare facility. Cecelia was predeceased by her husband Anthony J. “Tony” Leandro in December 2004. Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Celia “Ella” (Hunt) Amaral.

Cecelia was employed as a supervisor at the former Perraco Jewelry Manufacturing Company in West Warwick, before moving on to employment at Concordia Manufacturing in Coventry until her retirement.

She enjoyed knitting, solving word search puzzles, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cecelia was the mother of Kevin A. Leandro and his wife Marie of Coventry and the late Cynthia J. Chabot. She was the grandmother of Nicholas Leandro, Jonathon Leandro and Jessica Chabot. Cecelia is also survived by great-grandchildren Hailey, Shelby, Troy and Jared. She was the sister of the late Robert Amaral.

Visiting hours are Thursday morning, August 3, 2023 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Saints Peter & Paul Church. Interment at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery in Coventry. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) would be appreciated. iannottifh.com
