MARSOCCI, CECILE T. (LACHANCE), 95, a lifelong resident of Pond Street, West Warwick, passed away at Kent Hospital, Warwick on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas A. Marsocci, who passed away in 2001.
She was a daughter of the late Simeon and Florence (Rainville) Lachance.
While Cecile was a student at West Warwick High School, She would walk to her job at the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company in West Warwick, where she would work for many years before retiring as Office Manager from the Pepsi-Cola Cranston offices.
Cecile was an accomplished violinist, performing with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra. She enjoyed spending time tending to her floral gardens at her home in West Warwick and she appreciated the natural beauty of the surroundings at her Summer home on the Quidnick Reservoir. For many years, Cecile enjoyed cooking meals and hosting Sunday family gatherings. A woman of strong faith, she was a lifelong communicant at Saint John & James Parish, West Warwick.
She was the mother of Diane T. Sabetta, her husband Raymond, of West Warwick, Thomas A. Marsocci, his wife Carol, of Maine (formerly North Kingstown), Linda J. Fabrizio, her husband Louis, of Smithfield, and Paul A. Marsocci, his wife Mary, of Coventry. She is survived by eight grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Cecile was the sister of the late Constance Sauvageau and Robert Lachance.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday Morning, November 12, 2024 from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (Route 117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Saints John and James Church, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick. Interment to follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
