CHARLES HAMMETT Obituary

HAMMETT, Charles S., 74, of Coventry, passed away at home on Thursday, July 9, 2020. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Patricia A. (Richard) Hammett.

Charles was born in San Diego, California. After serving in the Navy including the Vietnam War, he worked as a welder for 31 years at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Quonset Point, RI.

Charles enjoyed cycling, bowling, and watching sports. Upon retirement, he enjoyed spending time being a devoted Papa to his grandchildren and will be deeply missed by Madelyn, Ella, and Jeffrey.

Aside from his wife, he leaves his children, Lori Hipsky and her husband Kenneth of Mystic, CT and Jason Hammett and his wife Jacqlyn of Coventry and three grandchildren.

Charles’ Funeral and Burial will be private for the family.
