CHARLES M. McGOWAN III

McGOWAN III, CHARLES M., 73, of Coventry passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 10, 2025. He was the former husband of Brenda A. (Faraone) McGowan for 43 years. Born in Westerly, he was a son of the late Charles M. McGowan Jr. and the late Edith M. (Quinlan) McGowan.

Charles was employed as a shop foreman at Jeneet Incorporated, a plastic fabrication company in Warwick for over 20 years. More recently, Charles was a passenger van driver for the elderly and the disabled in the Town of Coventry, a career Charles found very gratifying. Charles enjoyed card playing, fishing, going out for dinners, and spending time with his family and many friends.

He was the stepfather of Joseph A. Dias of Coventry, and the proud grandfather of Billy DeLuca of North Carolina. Charles was the brother of Rita V. Chabot and Maureen H. Hawkins, both of Coventry, and the late Carl E. McGowan, Marion C. Rougier, Dorothy E. Gilchrist and Edith E. Wright.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm with a Funeral Service at 1 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd.,(95/exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry. iannottifh.com
