CINDY ANN (NAGEL) HEARD

CINDY ANN (NAGEL) HEARD, 69, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 18, 2026 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of James H. Heard Jr., and the couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this coming August. 

Born in Warwick, Cindy was a daughter of the late Thomas and Jeanne (Cayouette) Nagel. 

After graduating from West Warwick High School, Cindy married the love of her life, James. She then began her career with the Kent County Water Authority where she helped in running the daily operations for over four decades. She enjoyed trips with her husband, James, and time spent with her family and longtime friends. No matter where she was, laughter was never in short supply. She will truly be missed.

Cindy was the loving mother of Sherri Heard of Cumberland, RI and Thomas Heard, his partner Christine Corbett of Sterling, CT. She was the loving sister of Larry Nagel, his wife Eileen, and Robert Nagel, and his wife Diane. Cindy is also survived by her lifelong best friends, Patty and Al Lefebvre, Steve and Gail Larkin, and her adored grandpup and goodboy, “Loki”. 

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (ROUTE 3), Coventry, RI. Burial with Committal Prayers to follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
