CLAIRE CLARA (ARCHAMBAULT) COURNOYER

COURNOYER, CLAIRE C., (ARCHAMBAULT) 94, formerly of Pettine St., Coventry, passed away at the Riverview Healthcare Community, surrounded by her loving family on Friday evening, October 17, 2025. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Diana (Couture) Archambault.

Claire was the loving mother of Jeannine A. Gadoury and her husband Lee, Paul F. Cournoyer and his wife Kim, all of Coventry, Suzanne T. McKirdy and her husband John of Wolcott, CT, and Marguerite D. Cote and her late husband Gary of Coventry.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Claire was predeceased by her 17 siblings.

Claire was raised in Woonsocket, before making her residence in Coventry in 1958. She was employed at the Dome Publishing Company in Warwick for over fifteen years before retiring.

For many years, Claire had been a dedicated parishioner of Saint Vincent de Paul Church. Claire enjoyed ballroom dancing, and traveling with her family, especially on cruises.

Her funeral will be on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 9:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul St., Coventry, RI 02816. Interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich. Visiting hours will be on Thursday evening October 23, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
