CLAIRE ANN (FAVA) ONUSCHAK

ONUSCHAK, CLAIRE A. (FAVA) 90, of Hardig Road, Warwick and formerly of West Warwick, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Sunny View Nursing Home in Warwick. Born in East Greenwich, she was a daughter of the late Biagio and Domenica (Antonaccio) Fava.

Claire graduated from East Greenwich High School, class of 1950. She went on to earn a Degree from the former Sweeney Secretarial School in Providence. Claire was employed as a secretary in the Rehabilitation Department at the Eleanor Slater General Hospital in Cranston for 25 years before retiring in 1995. Claire was an advocate and volunteer for Mothers Against Drunk Driving. She was a member of the West Warwick Senior Center, RSVP, and the MHRH Retirement Association.

She was the mother of Deborah J. Lautieri of Providence, Peter Onuschak and his wife Tammie of West Greenwich, Alma M. Uglialoro of West Warwick, Paul Onuschak of Warwick and the late Linda A. Onuschak. Claire is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Vincent N. Fava and Santina M. Coutu.

Her funeral will be on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 8:45 am from the Iannotti Funeral at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Gregory the Great Church in Warwick. Interment at Saint Mary Cemetery in West Warwick. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening from 4 pm - 7 pm.
