CONRAD ROYAL BURNS

BURNS, CONRAD R., 83, Coventry, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. 

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Royal E. and Christine J. (Harrington) Burns. 

After attending Providence College and the University of Rhode Island, Conrad opened his accounting firm, C.R. Burns Associates in 1974. For nearly 50 years, he had been entrusted to help navigate his friends and neighbors through the perils of the taxation system. 

Conrad is survived by his children, Jay Burns, of West Warwick, David C. Burns, his wife Athena, of Coventry, William J. Burns, his wife Bridget, of Pawtucket, and Kathleen Hankins, her husband Christopher, of Exeter. He was the loving grandfather of several grandchildren.  Brother of Ronald Burns of Virginia, Janet Burns of Coventry, Patricia Strickman of Florida, Susan Burns of North Carolina, and the late Sheila Burns, Maureen Burns, Sharon Auger, and Steven M. Burns. He was the former husband of Suzanne L. Bowry, of Crofton, Kentucky.
