CONSTANCE "MARGARET" (MONIZ) CADETE

CADETE, CONSTANCE  “MARGARET” (MONIZ) 98, of Angell Street, West Warwick passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Alpine Nursing Home in Coventry. Constance was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Joseph Cadete in June 2012. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Laura (Sylvia) Moniz.

Constance was employed at the former Valley Lace Mill in Hope, RI for many years. She later worked at the Woolworths Department Store before retiring. After retiring, Constance enjoyed caring for her six grandchildren serving a span of over 25 years.

She enjoyed Ballroom dancing, Ten-pin bowling, playing Bingo and was always up for a trip to the nearby casino with her husband Joe and sister Vera. She was brave, adventurous, and never afraid to speak her mind and will be missed by her family and many friends, old and new.

Constance was the mother of Laura A. Bangs of Foster, Jane M. Venditto and her husband Stephen of West Warwick and the late Margaret “Peggy” D’Amore. She was the mother-in-law of the late Jeffrey M. Bangs and the late William M. D’Amore Jr. She was the Vavoa (grandmother) to William D’Amore, Daria D’Amore Sullivan, Kelley Bangs, Drew Bangs, Russell Venditto and Jeremy Venditto; and the great-grandmother of Ian and Conor Sullivan. Constance was the sister of the late Manuel Moniz, Joseph Moniz, Mary Lawrence, Frances Brown and Vera Alvernaz.

Visiting hours are Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 10:30 am to 12:00 Noon, with a Service at 12 NOON in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry. Interment to follow at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
