CRAIG RATTE Obituary

Craig G. Ratte, 62, a resident of Coventry the past fifteen years, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at home.  Born in Warwick, Rhode Island on August 10, 1960, he was the beloved son of Gerard W. and Barbara A. (Kostecki) Ratte of Coventry.

 

Craig was a graduate of Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School and started his 40 year career as a machinist at Guill Tool & Engineering Company in West Warwick and was currently a co-owner of C & L Tool Inc., a machine shop in West Warwick, where he specialized as a machinist and a parts maker.  

 

Craig was a passionate Miami Dolphins football fan and years ago enjoyed League Bowling. He always loved to tell jokes and make others laugh.

 

In addition to his beloved parents, Craig is survived by his loving son:  Jason C. Ratte and his wife, Laura of Swansea; a sister:  Sandra A. Perry and her significant other, Don DeLuca of Cranston; a brother:  Guy Ratte and his wife, Nancy of Chepachet; two cherished grandchildren:  Mason and Emma Ratte; a niece:  Kimberley Valente and her husband, Brian of Westerly; and two nephews:  Sean Perry of Warwick and Aaron Ratte of Coventry.

 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street, Route 117, Coventry followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry.  Burial is respectfully private.
