CYRIL G. GEARY, 95, of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the Riverview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Coventry.
Born in Foster, Rhode Island, Cyril was a son of the late George and Lucy (Ringrose) Geary.
After graduating High School, Cyril proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Cyril was deployed to several combat zones throughout Korea until the armistice was reached in 1953. After being Honorably Discharged, Cyril went on to spend his career as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for Lloyd Manufacturing, where he worked for decades before his retirement.
In his spare time, Cyril enjoyed the outdoors and was a hunter in his earlier years. He also loved the sport of golf, and he could be found on the golf course until he was nearly 90 years old. He was also very active in numerous Veterans Organizations and was a parishioner of Cornerstone Church in Warwick. Cyril was long time member of the Korean War Veterans Association.
Cyril is survived by his son, David Geary of Columbia, Missouri; grandchildren, Corie Geary, Nicholas Geary, and Alexa Geary; great grandchildren, Beckett and Ainsley.
Cyril was the brother of Bruce Geary, Dennis Geary, and the late Lance Geary.
Visiting hours will be held the morning of Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, with a Funeral Service to begin at 10:30 AM, in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry. Burial with Military Funeral Honors to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry.
