DANIEL R. AMARAL

AMARAL, DANIEL R., 93, of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Sunny View Nursing Home, Warwick. He was the loving husband of 61 years to Barbara A. (Remington) Amaral, who predeceased Daniel in 2018. 

Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Manuel Sr. and Beatrice (Arujo) Amaral. 

Daniel proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army in Korea before his Honorable Discharge. Since he was a young man, Daniel worked by his father’s side and helped to support the family. In his spare time, he enjoyed tending to his garden and keeping his lawn beautiful. He and Barbara actually did live “The American Dream”.

Daniel is survived by his two sons, Alan Amaral and his wife Cheryl of Palm Harbour, FL and Scott Amaral of Cranston, RI. He was the brother of Hilda Cole and the late Louise Blaquiere, Theresa Doyle, Manuel Amaral Jr., and Alphonse Amaral. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning August 14, 2024 from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Anthony Church, 1 Sunset Ave., West Warwick.  Interment and Military Funeral Honors will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
