HASS, DANIEL E., 81, of West Greenwich, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 27, 2025. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Candace (Wilkinson) Hass.
Born in Norfolk, Virginia he was a son of the late Edgar and Leona Rose (Burgess) Hass.
Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Army before attending the University of Rhode Island where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Engineering. He spent his 30 year career as a Mold Engineer for C.R. Bard.
In his spare time, Daniel enjoyed being outside in nature. He liked salt and fresh water fishing, was a member of the Narragansett Bow Hunters Club, and was the “Captain” of his boat. A natural born engineer, he also liked building and flying remote controlled airplanes, launching model rockets, was also a skilled carpenter, and HAM radio operator. He will be sadly missed.
Besides his wife, Candace, Daniel is survived by his daughter Jennifer L. Jendzejec, and her husband Todd, David W. Hass, his wife Ashley; adoring grandfather of Adeline, Grady, and Lillian. He was the brother of Donna Burgess and Roy Hass. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, and many longtime friends.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (ROUTE 3), Coventry, RI. A Funeral Service will commence at 11:00 AM. Burial with Military Funeral Honors at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter will be held at a later date.
