DAUKSIS, DAVID J., 70, of North Kingstown, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Hunlock Creek Township, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mildred M. (Borowski) Dauksis.
David graduated from West Warwick High School, class of 1972. He went on to employment as a Superintendent in Commercial Construction for over 40 years before retiring.
David enjoyed boating in Narragansett Bay, spending time outdoors and hunting at his family home in Pennsylvania. He loved savoring Polish food like kielbasa and pierogies. David’s favorite job was being ‘Pops’ to his granddaughters Mallory and Paige, who he loved to spend quality time with playing tic tac toe.
He was the father of Matthew J. Dauksis and his wife April of Warwick, and Alicia R. Rainey and her husband Timothy of East Greenwich. David was the brother of Peter Dauksis (Linda) of North Kingstown, Patricia DiMartino (Joseph) of West Warwick and Susan Paoletta (John) of Coventry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday morning, October 18, 2024 from 9:00am - 10:30am, with a Funeral Service at 10:30am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington, St. (Rte.117) Coventry. Interment at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery in North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) would be appreciated. iannottifh.com.
