DAVID A. HENNESSY

COVENTRY- David A. Hennessy, 24, of Coventry, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.

Born on February 5, 1998, in Warwick, he was the beloved son to Capt. Walter P. Hennessy, Coventry PD and Denise M. (Abondolo) Hennessy; David Cable and Sally Cable; and Carla Gouveia and Roxanne Schaefer. David grew up in Coventry and graduated from Coventry High School with the Class of 2018. 

In his spare time, David enjoyed photography, going to comedy clubs, fishing, and basketball. Above all, David was most happy when he was in the presence of and making memories with his dear family and many friends.  His final gift was to give a better life to strangers he will never know by being an organ donor.

In addition to his loving parents, David is survived by his siblings: Philip Hennessy, Colleen Hennessy, Justina Fierros, and Alexandra Frye; also many extended family members and friends.

Memorial Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd.,  (Rte.3), Coventry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 am in Saints John and Paul, 341 South Main St., Coventry. If you plan on attending the funeral mass, please go directly to the church. Burial will be private.
