DAVID RUSSELL MIMANDE

MIMANDE, DAVID R., 78, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at the Respiratory & Rehabilitation Center in Coventry. He was the husband of Germana “Fatima” (Lima) Mimande for 47 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas H. and Marie Rose (Marcotte) Mimande.

David served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. He was a manager at Leviton Mfg. for 20 years. He later worked at Arkwright for 15 years before retiring. David was inspired by music and he loved to sing. He also enjoyed Portuguese culture and culinary arts.

He was the father of Sandra Lee Silva and Kandy M. Mimande and her partner Amber Nardolillo all of West Warwick. David was the grandfather of Kahree (Silva) Paolantonio and her husband Nicholas; and the great grandfather of Elara and Giada. He was the brother of Theresa McCaughey, Ernest Mimande, and the late Thomas, Alcide and Edward Mimande. 

His funeral will be Friday, September 16, 2022 at 8:45 am from the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Anthony Church. Interment with military honors in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 4 -7 pm.
