DEBORAH COLICCHIO Obituary

Deborah Jean Colicchio, 38 of Coventry, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday. Cherished daughter of Ann and Dennis Colicchio, owners of Harris Bar and Grille, Deborah was co-owner in the family restaurant business, where she also managed and tended bar. She was a proud and loving mother to her three children, a beloved niece, caring aunt, adored baby sister and cousin, and loyal friend who was loved beyond measure.

With a heart of gold and a generous spirit, Deborah was loved by all who knew her. She had a contagious laugh and stunning smile, bright enough to light up any room, making those in her presence not only feel welcomed, but appreciated. Her down to earth and compassionate nature gave those around her a sense that they were the most important people in her company. She shared a mutual affection with her customers, valuing each and every one as part of the family.

Youthful and free spirited, Deborah had a zest for life and enjoyed playing softball, snowboarding, and spending time with family on the pond, most especially fishing and boating with her kids. One of her favorite summer activities centered around Independence Day, when she and her parents would host an annual gathering for their Harris Family.  As the life of the party, Deborah single-handedly orchestrated a firework spectacular, as head technician, leaving us all in awe and looking forward to the next year.

Deborah will be sadly missed and always remembered. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Joseph and Adelina (Lena) Colicchio and Manual and Mary Serpa. She is survived by her children; Alexis, T.J. and Isabella; parents, Dennis and Ann Colicchio; brother, Joe Colicchio and sister-in-law, Kristen Giglietti and niece Gracie; and sister Karen Owren and brother-in-law, Geoff Owren and nieces, Faith and Molly.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Phenix Business Association at Ocean State Credit Union, West Warwick, in care of Brenda Langlais. Donations may also be dropped off at the Phenix Square Diner at 9 Pleasant Street, to plant a new tree in memory of Deborah, at Phenix Square. The Square was near and dear to Deborah’s heart, as she attended the Christmas Tree Lighting every year.

Due to pandemic restrictions, Deborah’s funeral services are private. A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held at a time to be determined. Arrangements by Iannotti Funeral Home.
