DENISE CHILDERS

CHILDERS (CHEVALIER), DENISE, age 66, passed away Tuesday, November, 8, 2022 at home with her beloved husband of 28 years, Earl Childers, by her side.

Born in Warwick, a daughter of Pauline A. (Jarbeau) Chevalier and the late Joseph C. Chevalier, Denise grew up in Coventry, RI, met her husband Earl in Middletown, NY, lived in Surfside Beach, SC for most of her married life, and spent the balance of her life in Tallassee, TN. Denise was the first female draftsman to work for the Rhode Island Port Authority. She became a highly skilled survey engineering technician working at Robert Bellamy & Associates in Myrtle Beach, SC. Denise was a talented artist who loved going to the beach, especially with her best friend, Vanessa Ciesla. In Surfside Beach, SC, she was literally walking distance to the Atlantic Ocean. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always saw the good in everyone she encountered.

Denise was the loving mother of Curtis Palm of Raeford, NC, Jason Childers of Tallassee, TN, and Jessi Ciorra of Surfside Beach, SC. She leaves 11 grandchildren, 4 nephews, 4 nieces, 1 great-nephew, and 1 great-niece. Denise is survived by her loving brother Michael Chevalier and his wife Kim of Warwick. She was sister of the late Donna Francis (Chevalier).

Memorial visiting hours will be on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from noon to 1:30 pm with services to follow at the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road, (RTE. 3), Coventry. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Denise Childers to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
