DENNIS CARLEY, Esq. Obituary

Dennis E. Carley (67) of North Kingstown passed away at his home on Monday,  November 8, 2021. He was the son of the late Edward and Alice O’Day Carley.

After graduating with high distinction from the University of Rhode Island in 1976, Dennis earned a Master’s degree from the Ohio State University and then a law degree, with honors, from Capitol University.  After clerking for the Honorable Thomas Kelleher of the Rhode Island Supreme Court, Dennis joined the Roberts, Carroll, Feldstein and Peirce law firm in Providence, and became a partner in 1990.

Dennis was an accomplished civil litigator and vigorous client advocate; he was recognized within the legal community as a true gentleman attorney. He practiced in Rhode Island courts for 36 years.

As a committed, loving father to his three children, Jack, Karissa, and Kayleigh, Dennis enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them. Above all, he was deeply proud of his children and their accomplishments.

Dennis is survived by his siblings, Michael Carley of Coventry, Elizabeth Carley of San Diego, CA, Kevin Carley of Cranston, Timothy Carley of North Kingstown, and Kathleen Carley Skwara of Cincinnati, OH, along with eleven nieces and nephews. Dennis’ brother, Peter, pre-deceased him. Dennis is also survived by his former wife, Christine Carley of Chepachet.

Dennis’ family will celebrate his life in a private service. Condolences or personal reflections may be posted to iannottifh.com. Arrangements are with the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT in Coventry.  Dennis' family request no flowers.
