DIANA M. PALAZZO

COVENTRY- Diana M. (Frates) Palazzo, 73, of Coventry, formerly of West Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Kent Hospital in Warwick, surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of her family. She was the devoted wife for over 50 years to the love of her life, Domenic Palazzo.

Born on January 21, 1949, in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Mary Frates. Diana grew up in West Warwick and attended West Warwick Public Schools. While in high school, Diana caught the eye of a classmate; that gentleman was her future husband.

Diana and Domenic married on August 31, 1969, in Sacred Heart Church in West Warwick. They spent their younger years raising their family of three children on Prospect Hill Avenue. In 1989, Diana and her family moved to Coventry, where they had a house with the backyard she always wanted.

In her spare time, Diana enjoyed crocheting, watching WWE, especially rooting for Roman Reigns, and also watching her favorite movie franchise, Rocky. Above all, Diana most treasured the time spent with her family.

In addition to her husband, Diana is survived by her children: Alfred Palazzo and his wife Dorothy of Warwick, Susan Maguire and her husband Michael of West Warwick, and Donna Oakes and her husband James of Coventry; her grandchildren: Sean Oakes and his wife Jazmyn of North Kingstown, Amber Moyet and her husband Angel of Providence, William Palazzo of Warwick, Aubra Palazzo of Warwick, Michael Maguire of West Warwick, and Aurora Palazzo of Warwick; and her great-grandchildren: Kairi Peiczarek of North Kingstown, Julian Palazzo of Warwick, Layla Nappa of Warwick, and Nova Oakes of North Kingstown.

A Funeral Service will held be on Tuesday morning, August, 16, 2022 at 10:30 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Interment at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday, August 15, from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
