DIANE MARIE (MICHELI) DELLAGROTTA

DELLAGROTTA, DIANE M., (MICHELI), 83, a resident of North Kingstown since 1968, passed away at Hope Health Hospice in Providence on Sunday morning, July 20, 2025. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years William A. Dellagrotta in 2021. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonetta (Centazzo) Melucci and the late Fausto Micheli. Diane was the stepdaughter of the late Frank Melucci.

Diane graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, class of 1960. Diane was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her most precious gift was her grandchildren and great granddaughter, whom she loved spending time with. They always brought a smile to her face. She loved to cook delicious home cooked meals for her family and dinner time was always a time of reminiscing and playful ribbing.  Diane loved to play her favorite music, Josh Groban, and enjoyed many summer days at the RI beaches. She truly will be missed.

She was the mother of William A. “Billy” Dellagrotta of North Kingstown, Anthony “Tony” Dellagrotta and his wife Erin of Greene, RI and Lisa J. Brown and her husband Charles of Coventry. Diane was the grandmother of Brian Marchessault, Kyle Brown, Christina Dellagrotta, Anthony Dellagrotta, Catherine Dellagrotta; and the great-grandmother of Felise Marchessault. Diane was the sister of Jean Esposito of Providence.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 9:30 am to 11 am, with a Funeral Service at 11 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (95/exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry. Interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich to follow. iannottifh.com
