DONAT LAMOUREUX Obituary
LAMOUREUX, DONAT L. 89, of Coventry, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at the Alpine Nursing Home. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Edith A. (Vadnais) Lamoureux on March 9, 2026. Born in West Warwick, RI, he was a son of the late Arthur and Florence (Cusson) Lamoureux.
Donat, and his wife Edith, established D & L Service Inc. of Coventry in 1964. They operated the company for 42 years before retiring. Donat was a dedicated and hardworking husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great -grandfather.
Donat was a Past-President and life member of Club Jogues, the Phenix Sportsmen's Club, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and a 3rd and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Monsignor Blessing Council. Donat also was Chairman of the Board of Canvassers Town of Coventry, RI for many years, as well as a member of the Democratic Town Committee.
Donat enjoyed many summers boating on Johnson’s Pond in Coventry, and also riding motorcycles with his wife for many years.
Donat was the father of Diane M. Gervasio and her husband Robert, David D. Lamoureux and his wife Pam, all of Coventry, and Donna E. Boger of Birmingham, Alabama. He was the grandfather of Aliesha Piche, Meaghan Brienzi, Anthony R. Gervasio, Chelsea Stinemetz, Sierra Lamoureux, Dr. Nickolas Gervasio, Erica Harrington, SSG US ARMY Cory Lamoureux, and Amie Garland. Donat is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Richard Lamoureux (Chris) of West Warwick, Pauline Leveillee of Coventry, and the late Robert and Roland “Ray” Lamoureux.
Visiting hours are Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with a Funeral Service at 6:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (I95/Exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry.
