Doris H Levesque, age 84 of Coventry, passed away unexpectedly on Weds, June 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Doris was the daughter of the late Peter and Celia (Slusarz) Gardula. Doris was raised in Fall River, MA, and graduated from Durfee High School. She went on to build a long and successful career working for the United States Department of Defense for over 35 years, most recently as a Contracting Agent, before retiring in 1997.
A resident of Coventry for over 27 years, Doris was a devoted family woman who cherished spending time with loved ones. She especially found immense joy in the time she spent with her grandsons, who were the light of her life. She was an avid football and tennis fan, enjoyed tracking the daily weather and chats with her neighbors. She also enjoyed outings to Foxwoods where she loved playing her favorite slot machines - and she was thrilled to celebrate a small win on her last visit.
Doris had a warm, outgoing nature and could spark a conversation with anyone she met. She truly enjoyed meeting new people and connecting through shared stories and laughter. Time with friends, whether chatting over lunch or catching a movie, was something she always cherished.
Doris was the loving mother of Deb Antrobus, her late husband Brian Antrobus, of Leominster Massachusetts, and Linda Brown, her husband Keith Demingware, of Coventry, Rhode Island. She was the dear sister of the late Robert Gardula, his wife Diane Rouleau-Gardula. Doris was also the proud and adoring grandmother of Michael Antrobus, Peter Antrobus, and Alex Brown.
Our mom, Doris will be remembered for her feisty spirit, quick wit, and unwavering warmth. She had a bold personality, a love of laughter, and a heart that welcomed everyone. Whether sharing stories, playfully teasing a loved one, or chatting with a stranger, Doris brought energy and authenticity to every interaction. As a single parent, she instilled in her daughters a strong sense of strength, a deep respect for education, and the courage to follow their own dreams. Her spirit will keep shining in our lives, reminding us to live boldly, laugh often and love completely.
In accordance with her wishes, funeral services will be held private.
